Preventive Health Care Guidelines
The following pages contain the Preventive Health Care Guidelines -- a summary of the minimum preventive care recommended if you are healthy, do not have symptoms and are at average risk for health problems. These guidelines are based on recommendations from national entities such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Diabetes Association, the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. These are only suggested guidelines. Your health care practitioner will consider your individual situation and may recommend care that differs. It's important that you speak with your health care practitioner about what preventive services you need and when you should have them.
