Suze's Profile
I have been overweight my whole life. Even through my high school years when I was active in sports, I was still "chunky". But looking back now, I would say I was fit and reasonably healthy at that time. When I finished school and therefore finished the sports, I started gaining weight seriously. I have been on a million "diets" and lost and gained many pounds. Each time I lost weight, I would gain it all back along with an extra 10 pounds. Since joining HL just over 3 years ago, I’ve realized it’s my overall health that is important to me. If I lose weight along the way, all the better. I’m walking an average of 6 days a week and swimming 3 days a week. I love the way I can walk up this one partiular hill near my house that previously I used to have to stop a few times along the way before I could get to the top. In August, 2001 I joined Weight Watchers to get help with controlling my eating. I have done well since then - losing a total of 18 pounds so far (January, 2002). One of my short term goals is to get under 200 pounds. I haven’t been under that mark for many years. I only have about 10 more pounds to lose to reach that goal.
